Our Story: Embracing the Boating Lifestyle

For the past 20 years, we have cherished the year-round boating opportunities that the Southeast United States offers. From the stunning coastal waters to expansive inland lakes, there's no shortage of beautiful places to enjoy your boat.

From Industrial Automation to Marine Innovation

Our journey began two decades ago in the industrial automation field. We specialized in developing solutions for commercial customers, solving problems that hinder production efficiency. However, our passion for boating led us to a significant discovery and innovation.

The Boating Challenge

Weekends were our time to unwind and enjoy our boat, but we frequently encountered a frustrating issue—a flooded boat cover. We tried every possible solution: support poles, large beach balls, expensive custom covers, pool noodles—you name it. Unfortunately, none of these methods could withstand the aggressive Florida rain.

The Inconvenience

All those “makeshift” support objects made storage a chore while underway, and it wasn't convenient when we wanted to work on the boat. If we had the support set "just right," the last thing we wanted to do was remove the cover, clean or work on the boat, and then struggle to set everything up again.

The Turning Point

Realizing there had to be a better way to spend more time on the water without the hassle of keeping water out of our boat cover, we decided to innovate. The worst part of returning from a long, hot day on the water was dealing with the impending rainstorm that threatened to flood our cover or damage our accessories.

The Birth of the Raintaker®

In response to this challenge, we created the Raintaker®. We wanted to harness solar energy to remove the water for us. It had to be fully automatic. We also wanted it to be portable and easy to store.
